(KMOV)-- Not sun, nor heat, nor early hours could keep concert goers from U2 on Sunday.
Some fans said that they began lining up around 4:30 a.m., despite the official rule stating attendees could begin arriving at 7:00. Hundreds were in line by 9:00.
Nearly every person standing outside Busch Stadium was holding an umbrella or standing under a tent to shield themselves from the sun, but even that could not protect them from the heat. Fans were already sweating in the morning hours, or relying on battery-powered fans to keep cool.
Some got creative with their setups. One group even hung a disco ball from the top of their tent and hung posters along the sides. Another group decided to stay near their SUV in case they got too hot.
Most said they plan to play cards, use cell phones, and eat to keep themselves entertained throughout the day.
