(KMOV.com) -- Two lanes of Interstate 70 were shut down as crews worked to clear an accident involving an overturned dump truck Friday afternoon.
Missouri Highway Patrol officers were called to the scene at I-70 near Interstate 370, just after noon. When officers arrived, they found the dump truck on its side.
According to officials, the truck was hauling dirt. Most of the load was spilled in a grassy area on the edge of the interstate, but the truck remained on the roadway. Two lanes of I-70 were closed while crews worked to clear the mess.
It is unclear if the driver of the dump truck was injured in the accident. No other vehicles were involved.
