ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection to the murder of a 51-year-old man on Tuesday night in the north St. Louis County municipality of Northwoods.
The charges come after police found Christopher McKay, 51, shot in the 6600 block of Sacramento around 7 p.m. He told police he was standing near his garage at the time of the shooting.
McKay was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from a gunshot wound.
The suspect, 21-year-old Marquis Alston, and victim both knew each other. Apparently a verbal argument lead to a physical altercation and then to the victim being shot.
Alston is currently being held on a $250,000 cash only bond.
