ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A teen has been charged after four Chevrolet Camaros were stolen Monday from a south St. Louis County car dealership. Police continue to search for three additional suspects.

Gary Washington, 17, of the 5700 block of Helen, was charged with one count of second degree burglary and one count of motor vehicle theft.

According to officials, a driver contacted authorities after seeing three or four vehicles with Bommarito license plates speeding down Interstate 55.

Officers say the cars were taken overnight from the Bommarito Chevrolet on south Lindbergh Boulevard. Officers discovered that forcible entry was made into the business office. The responded manager advised that four 2011 Chevrolet Camaros were missing from the parking lot.

Two Camaros were recovered in the 4600 block of Grove and Myrtle in Wellston. One was recovered at Whitney and Gregan in Pagedale. A fourth was recovered just off Martin Luther King Drive on Ogden.

Police took Washington into custody for the theft of one of the vehicles. The other vehicles were not occupied when found.

Washington is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

The St. Louis County Police Department is looking for three additional suspects responsible for driving the remaining three stolen vehicles. Anyone with additional information about this incident should call the St. Louis County Police Department at 889-2341 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
