(KMOV) – Three men and two juveniles have been arrested in connection to ten vehicle burglaries in Troy, Illinois on July 4. Troy police officers had also recovered a wrecked vehicle that was later reported stolen by a victim from the same neighborhood as the burglaries.
According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department Jacob Outman, 18, Brandon Penrod, 18, and Evan Devore, 17, have each been charged with four counts of burglary and one count of an offense relating to a motor vehicle.
Authorities say an anonymous caller tipped off police to the suspects.
Investigators were able to identify those involved and say they were able to recover several items stolen in the robberies.
Outman, Penrod and Devore were all named as being responsible for stealing a vehicle and breaking out its windows in a statement released by the sheriff's office .
Bond was set at $60,000.
