(KMOV) – A 49-year-old woman was taken into custody Friday after leading police on a pursuit through Overland, Missouri.
According to officials, the woman was first spotted in Overland by an officer who was running license plates on drivers passing through the area.
Police say the officer tried to pull the woman over because the plates on her blue Ford Explorer were registered as stolen, but she fled the scene and continued driving.
The pursuit later ended in the 4800 block of Delmar Boulevard. St. Louis City Police assisted with the chase.
Officers say the woman, who has outstanding warrants in Maryland Heights, Shrewsbury and Overland, resisted arrest once she was stopped and that they had to break a window out of her car to take her into custody.
Drug paraphernalia was found in the woman’s car during the arrest.
The woman will be charged by the St. Louis City Police Department before heading to the other cities where she is wanted for other accusations, including first degree assault on an law enforcement officer.
