(KMOV.com) -- One man is in stable condition after being shot in the leg during an argument in south St. Louis.
The shooting happened in the 3400 block of Itaska around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said the 20-year-old victim was walking when he saw the 16-year-old suspect. According to officers, the victim and the suspect knew each other.
The two got into an argument and then into a physical fight. During the fight, officers said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired shots at the victim, striking him in the leg.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where doctors indicated he was in stable condition and his injury was not life-threatening.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and later turned over to juvenile authorities.
