FAIRVIEW HEGHITS, Ill. (KMOV)—Two people are now charged after attempting to rob a Domino’s delivery driver outside the pizzeria on July 2nd.

According to police, a 30-year-old delivery driver sat alone in his car in front of the Domino’s Pizza on North Illinois Street when Cortez M. Tallie, 23, approached the passenger side of the victim’s car, pointing a handgun at him. Tallie allegedly motioned the victim to either get out of the car or to move closer.

Tallie fled from the car when the victim didn’t follow his demand.

The victim watched as Tallie ran behind a neighboring business and into a waiting car, he followed the car as it drove into a residential area, giving police dispatch information on Tallie’s location.

Police responded to the location given and stopped the suspect’s vehicle taking the driver, Cristina L. Calimano 22, and Tallie into custody.

Tallie and Calimano have each been charged with Attempted Armed Robbery with bond set at $100,000 each. They are in custody at the St. Clair County Jail.
