(KMOV.com) -- A group of ten people were on a float trip near Cedar Hill, Missouri during Sunday afternoon's storms when they reported feeling a shock.
Authorities suspect the victims were struck by lightning while floating down the Big River. The Cedar Hill fire chief said authorities received a call from one of the victims shortly after the incident occurred. He said members of his department were dispatched to the scene soon after.
Members of the Cedar Hill fire department rescued nine people at the scene. The Cedar Hill fire chief said nobody was seriously injured.
All victims were transported to an area hospital for observation.
