FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A suspect has been arrested for vandalizing a historic fighter jet displayed at a Florissant civic center.
Florissant Police responded to a fire early Sunday morning at the James J. Eagan Civic Center where the Air Force F-101F "Voodoo" is displayed. Officers found that someone tried to set the jet on fire by throwing beer bottles filled with a flammable liquid onto the jet.
Witnesses gave dispatchers descriptions of suspects. An officer located a 17-year-old white male hiding behind a tree nearby. The teen was arrested and later confessed to detectives.
Florissant Police are still working to identify the other people involved in the vandalism.
