SHILOH, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- A Metro-East man is in custody after allegedly attacking another man and a police officer with a machete on Tuesday.

Police say Edward Jones, 26, was using the weapon to chase another man out of a home in Shiloh, Ill. when officers arrived. When told to stop, police say he cursed and threw the machete at officers on the scene.

No one was injured in the incident, but Jones could face a felony charge of aggravated assault to a police officer.

Jones is being held at the St. Clair County Jail in lieu of bond.
