ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- An 8-year-old boy is in juvenile custody after he brought a loaded gun to a south St. Louis school on Thursday.
Police said officers were called to the Confluence Academy near the intersection of Compton and Meramec around 8:30 a.m. after getting reports that a gun was brought on campus.
Police said school officials searched a student’s bag after getting word he brought a gun on campus. That’s when they found the loaded gun.
Authorities were called to the scene and brought the boy into juvenile custody.
No injuries were reported.
