JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO (KMOV.com) -- A 22-year-old Hillsboro, Missouri man, riding as a passenger on a scooter, was killed Wednesday evening when the driver pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle in Jefferson County.
Missouri Highway Patrol officials said Michael Bogue was riding in a side car on a 1987 Honda Helix. The driver of the scooter, Curtis Bogue, was traveling northbound on Old Highway 21 and was trying to make a left on to Blecha Road when he pulled in front of a 2008 Mazda 3 that was traveling southbound.
Authorities report, the driver of the Mazda, Kristen Herwig of Imperial, hit the right side of the scooter, ejecting Michael Bogue from the sidecar.
Bouge was wearing safety gear and was taken to St. Anthony's Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
