FENTON, Missouri (KMOV) -- It is said there's no such thing as a free meal. But a 20-year-old man tried to test that theory recently at a Walmart in Fenton.
St. Louis County Police say he went to the store with a relative and ate while she shopped.
Tey say he first ate a beef sausage, then went to the frozen food section and ate an ice cream pop. Next, police say he went to the deli and got a burrito and a soda to wash it all down. He ate it all in plain view of a police sergeant who was in line at the checkout counter.
The man was arrested when he walked out of the store, with a full belly, but without paying for the food he ate.
