Police: 'Courteous' suspect robs St. Charles bank, flees on foot

ST. CHARLES, Missouri (KMOV) -- Police are searching for a courteous suspect who removed his hat before robbing a bank in St. Charles on Tuesday.

Police said the suspect was wearing a hat when he walked up to the teller at the Pulaski Bank in the 1900 block of Zumbehl around 11:15 a.m. The teller asked the suspect to remove the hat and he complied.

He then handed the teller a note implying he had a weapon.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene holding a white plastic grocery bag and a baseball cap.

Authorities said the suspect is bald, has a muscular build and was wearing a tan or grey sweatshirt with the Aeropostale logo. He was also wearing a baggy khaki cargo shirts that hung below the knees.

Anyone with information is also asked to call St. Charles Crime Stoppers at 636-949-3333.
