ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A local ministry is working to help low-income individuals meet both their immediate and long-term needs.
Established in south St. Louis in 1970, Isaiah 58 Ministries offers support groups, exercise classes, a thrift store and a food pantry for those in need.
"We have a two fold purpose," said Brenda Booth, executive director. "We meet the immediate emergency needs of individuals in our communtiy and we seek to create lasting change in their lives through our healthy lifestyles program."
The ministry will host its third annual Silent Auction and Wine Tasting on June 9, with proceeds funding its community support programs.
