MADISON COUNTY, Illinois (KMOV) – A Metro East woman is accused of operating a methamphetamine lab inside a house with three children inside.

Rachael Toner, 34, was charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing.

According to deputies, officers were called to a house in the 20 block of Ray Street in Cottage Hills, Illinois, after getting word Toner was using meth.

Upon their arrival, officers met with Toner and found an active meth lab inside the house.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Madison County Jail. Her charge was also enhanced because minor children were found inside the house where the meth lab was located.

Deputies said the three children in the house have been placed in protective custody.

Toner remains in jail on a $350,000 bond.
