(KMOV) – The St. Louis Convention and Visitor’s Commission says it doesn’t want the Rams to play any home games in London. The commission released a statement Friday evening about the Ram’s lease with the Edward Jones Dome and how under contract, the Rams must play all home games in St. Louis.

The statement reads-

“Having the Rams play a game in London will elevate an awareness of St. Louis on the global stage, much as the Saint Louis Symphony’s upcoming tour will do.

That said, our lease with the Rams requires that the Rams play all their home games in the Edward Jones Dome.  We immediately brought this to the Rams’ attention and are awaiting their reply.”

According to the lease, if the dome is not within the top 25% of stadiums around the NFL, the Rams can break the lease and leave.

The Rams responded by saying-

" Having the Rams play a game in London will elevate an awareness of St. Louis on the global stage, much as the Saint Louis Symphony’s upcoming tour will do.

That said, our lease with the Rams requires that the Rams play all their home games in the Edward Jones Dome.  We immediately brought this to the Rams’ attention and are awaiting their reply."
