ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A St. Louis woman has been accused of robbing one of the officers who responded to her call for help.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/xlPQHR) that 25-year-old Tonia Rene Hart told police her boyfriend stole her keys. The probable cause statement says the officers drove Hart to her boyfriend's home and left her in the cruiser while they went inside.
The same officers were later called to respond to a larceny at a grocery store. There they found Hart, and her vehicle filled with groceries, cigarettes and lottery tickets.
Police learned from receipts that she had used a bank card belonging to one of the officers. It had been stolen from the officer's bag while they were inside the boyfriend's home.
Hart's charged with stealing and misdemeanors.
