AFFTON, Mo. (KMOV) – A person who is suspected of making methamphetamine is in police custody following a drug bust in Affton, Missouri Thursday night.
Police said they responded to a residence in the 5200 block of Waldo around 9 p.m. after receiving an anonymous tip that there may be suspicious activity going on inside the home.
Officers discovered materials used for making methamphetamine inside the house. All those materials were collected for evidence and analyzed by officers in protective gear.
Neighbors told News 4 they are not surprised by the arrest and the home is known for having problems with the law.
Another arrest was made at the scene, but it is unclear if it was related to the meth bust. Police got a call about someone making noise in the area. Not long after that, News 4's Mark Schnyder, who was at the scene, saw a man walk between the suspect home and a fence. Police chased that man and took him into custody.
