(KMOV)- Missouri Governor Jay Nixon wants to recover thousands of auto supplier jobs lost in the recent recession.
Nixon spoke about a new strategy at Lear Seating Corporation, which supplies seats for G.M. vehicles made in Wentzville.
The governor said the "Missouri Works" strategy will provide incentives for other employers. He hopes it will attract next-generation automotive jobs to Missouri.
The legislation provides economic incentives to employers, and mandates that employees receive health insurance and ear wages equal or better than the country average.
