(KMOV.com) -- A St. Louis County man has been charged after pointing a gun at a security officer on a Metrolink train platform during an argument with another man.

On Wednesday, Dominic L. Webb, 29, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a concealed firearm.

Webb was charged in reference to an incident on Tuesday afternoon at the Hanley Metrolink station in the 7000 block of St. Charles Rock Road.  Police said Webb was arguing with another man on the train platform when a Metrolink Security Officer approached them to intervene.  Webb reportedly pointed a gun at the security officer.  That officer shot Webb and recovered his weapon.

Webb was transported to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition, but is expected to survive.  The security officer was not injured in the confrontation.

Webb is currently detained at a hospital and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
