HILLSBORO, Mo. (KMOV) – Four men have been arrested for breaking into vehicles in the Village of Jefferson subdivision on Wednesday morning.
Jefferson County police were dispatched to the area in regards to a suspicious vehicle around 6 a.m. Police spotted a man on foot and then saw the suspicious vehicle drive past when they arrived to the scene.
Police then stopped the vehicle and while conducting the investigation they started receiving reports of vehicles that were broken into in the area.
Upon further investigation, police discovered that the detained individuals had allegedly been stealing from vehicles in the area and were in possession of numerous electronic devices.
Two men, ages 18 and 21, were taken into custody at the scene and are currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail. Police later arrested two 16-year-old men and they are currently being held at the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Facility.
