(KMOV) -- A Godfrey man and two juveniles are suspected of causing between $8,000 and $10,000 of damage with BB guns over the past several days.
Madison County sheriffs investigated 17 reports of criminal damage to property in Godrey, Illinois, while Wood River police handled 22 similar reports. In both cases, unknown suspects had shot out the windows of parked cars.
Dylan Johnson, 18, is currently being held at the Madison County Jail on $40,000 bond. The two juvenile suspects were sent to the the Madison County Juvenile Center to await court proceedings.
Madison County sheriffs first arrested a juvenile suspect, who then lead them to Johnson and the second juvenile. Investigators later located and seized the BB guns used in the shootings.
Johnson faces a felony charge of criminal damage to property over $300.
