Granite City man convicted in child porn case

(KMOV.COM) -- A Granite city man has been sentenced in federal court to 97 months in prison and a life-long supervised release for possession of child pornography.

Jason L. Bowen, 38, was ordered to hand over his computer equipment.  Police said he used the the computer to find the illegal images.  He was also ordered to pay a $750 fine and $100 special assessment. 

Bowen was convicted on August 22, 2011 after the child pornography was discovered in his apartment. Bowen admitted to finding the pornography on the internet at his plea hearing in November 2010.
