(KMOV) – Commuters can soon expect more traffic delays in the area of the Cheshire Inn at Clayton Road and Clayton Avenue near Skinker.
The St. Louis City Streets Department has approved a plan that will give the Cheshire Inn 25 additional parking spots. The Cheshire Inn plans on building a restaurant at the site.
Clayton Avenue will become narrower because of the additional parking spots at the Cheshire Inn.
“It is going to slow them down for starters. It will take away a couple parking spots from the street but ultimately it slows them down so when they make that turn they are going to have to slow down significantly," St. Louis City Streets Department official Todd Waelterman said.
The deal is not final yet. If it passes, the restaurant at the Cheshire Inn will open by late summer.
