COLLINSVILLE, Il. (KMOV) -- Three men are facing charges for allegedly operating a meth lab that had exploded in Cahokia on January 3. But what is baffling the authorities is one of the men who bragged about the meth lab on his Facebook page.
"It is one of the few times in my 20-year law enforcement career when we have gathered evidence like this using Facebook," Detective Joe Beliveau said.
The Cahokia Police Department quickly caught two of the three suspects but the third suspect, Garry Morrison, escaped...and with serious burns that he later posted on Facebook.
"I will tell you exactly what he posted. He said 'look at my face, it can meth you up,'" Beliveau said.
Morrison was burned on his face and hands as evident in his mugshot taken on January 6.
Gary Redding and Christopher Knick are the other two suspects who are behind bars on $75,000 to $100,000 bonds.
