(KMOV.com) --The United States President Barrack Obama and the White House staff will welcome the World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals  on Tuesday to honor the team's 2011 victory.

The President will also recognize the Cardinals' efforts to give back to their community. This will continue a tradition President Obama started of honoring sports teams for their efforts on and off the field.
The Cardinals will visit the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to thank wounded military members for their service as well.
