BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Police in Belleville say a 75-year-old man went missing from a nursing home over the weekend has been found dead.
Police Chief Bill Clay says the body of Aubrey Giles was located Monday morning in a creek near the nursing home. His body was partially submerged in the water.
Authorities do not suspect foul play.
Giles was a patient at Midwest Rehabilitation and Respiratory Care. He was reported missing 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Authorities searched for him with K-9 and air units.
Center employees were concerned because he suffered from dementia and heart disease, required daily medication and he wasn't wearing proper clothes for the cold winter weather.
An autopsy was set for Monday.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
