NORTH ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Officers arrested a suspect on Friday evening who is believed to be responsible for the murder of a man found dead in north St. Louis.
Officials say they arrested the 17-year-old man at 8 p.m. Friday and recovered the victim's 2002 Monte Carlo.
Police were responding to a call for a "person down" around 6:20 p.m. on the 4300 block of East Fairfax Court. When they arrived they found Deondre Elem, 29, dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
Elem was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
