WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Wentzville police responded to a home on Perry Cate Boulevard Monday night after a mother reported her son was acting suspicious.
Officials said officers responded to the home around 7:20 p.m. The mother told the officers her son indicated he wanted to commit suicide and was locked in the basement of their home with a rifle.
SWAT was brought in to search the house, but did not find anyone. The son later turned himself in at the staging area without incident.
Authorities later seized a rifle located in the basement of the home.
