ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police are investigating after two pizza delivery drivers were attacked at the same location just days apart in a south St. Louis neighborhood.
On Thursday, a 30-year-old female pizza delivery driver was in the 7100 block of Virginia in Carondelet around 8 p.m. when two men approached her. The victim told police the suspects hit her in the face with bricks two times and knocked her down. Police said this all happened outside a home that was listed for sale.
The driver, who works at Pizza Milano on South Grand, suffered facial lacerations in the attack. She was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.Officials said the suspects did not take anything from the victim.
Police said the victim was not able to provide significant details regarding the description of the suspects. Police believe the suspects are between the age of 16 and 18.
According to reports, this is the second attack on a pizza delivery driver at the address in less than a week.
On December 1st, a 50-year-old male delivery driver for Cecil Whittaker's Pizza was struck in the face and knocked unconscious. When he came to, he observed his vehicle, a red 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, being driven away from the scene. He did not see the suspects. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
