(KMOV.com) -- Police have a man in custody that was sought in connection to a fatal car crash in Franklin County.
Missouri State Highway Patrol confirmed that 36-year-old Joshua McFerrin was found in a car stopped by police along Highway 68, just south of St. James around 4:44 p.m. Thursday.
State troopers have not released any further details because they are still processing the scene, according to Sergeant Crane of Troop I.
McFerrin is being charged with one count of manslaughter in connection to the deaths of two people in the crash on Highway 100 at Highway M around 7 p.m. Saturday.
McFerrin has been on the run from police after he walked out of the emergency room at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Mo., following the crash.
According to reports, McFerrin is an alleged drug dealer and convicted rapist.
Police said McFerrin is being held on bond in a Phelps County jail.
