(KMOV) – A former employee was arrested after a company executive found thousands of dollars worth of stolen industrial tools listed on eBay.
Brian Ruby, 33, was charged Thursday with stealing.
According to court documents, an executive with Hydromat was conducting an internal investigation when he discovered several missing items for sale on the auction website.
Authorities said they contacted the seller, who told police he got the stolen items from Ruby.
Police searched Ruby’s home in Warren County and the seller’s home in Jefferson County and found $3,200 worth of stolen property.
Ruby’s bail was set at $5,000.
