(BaseballStL) -- The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim didn’t need Albert Pujols to generate offense against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday.
The Angels scored five times in the second inning off Lance Lynn which proved to be enough for a 5-1 victory. The former Cardinal slugger wasn’t involved in the big inning except for a strikeout.
Pujols finished the game 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk, and dropped his batting average to .247. He has five hits in his last 41 at-bats, a .122 average, over his last 10 games.
