The city of St. Peters has extended free special curbside debris pickup after storms rocked parts of the area on Wednesday.

The city began providing special storm debris collections on June 4 following a previous storm. That service was set to expire on June 28, but has been extended to July 12.

The storm on Wednesday caused significant tree damage in the area of Mexico and Salt Lick Roads.

The free service will be available only by appointment and is limited to 30 appointments per day.

Tree limbs must be no longer than 8 feet in length, and must be set at the curb on the appointed collection day.

For information or to set up an appointment, residents are asked to call 636.970.1456, OPTION 1.
