(KMOV.com) -- Fire officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed a home in north St. Louis on Sunday night.
The fire started in the 2900 block of Cass Ave. around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke and large flames coming from the two-story residence. Authorities said one person lived in the home, and was able to escape the fire without injury.
The home is considered a total loss.
No word on what may have caused the fire, but an investigation is underway.
