(KMOV) – A man faces charges after police say he shot another man during an argument over a card game in Wildwood on Sunday.

Alfredo Castro, 37, was charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Authorities say Castro and another man were playing cards at a home in the 130 block of Franklin around 1 a.m. when an argument broke out.

Police say that’s when Castro shot the victim in the stomach with a revolver. The victim was then dropped off at the Ellisville Police Department.

Officers located Castro several hours later and he was taken into custody. Police say his weapon was found on the side of Eatherton at Wildhorse Creek.

His bond was set at $100,000, cash only.
