(KMOV) – While much of the focus of sports fans in St. Louis will be on the Cardinals World Series games at Busch Stadium this weekend, a couple of others events will bring thousands of people to the downtown area.

Runners in the The Rock N’ Roll Marathon will flood the St. Louis streets Sunday morning, bringing spectators and volunteers along with them.

Major streets around Busch Stadium, including Market, Broadway, Clark and Tucker will shut down, some as late until Sunday afternoon.

“Most of that’s cleared up by 2:30 p.m., 3 p.m. They’ll pack up and that’ll be the time the fans are coming,” said St. Louis Streets Director Todd Waelterman. “So all it does is make for a really busy downtown. All the runners exiting and doing their own thing and then the Cardinals fans roll in.”

City police say Cardinals fans planning to come to Ballpark Village for a 3:30 p.m. pregame pep rally should come early and park in well-lit areas.

Those same principles can be followed Monday night when the Cardinals play in Game 4 while the Rams take on the Seattle Seahawks at the Edward Jones Dome.

The Broadway exit, which runs next to dome, will be shut down two and a half hours before kick-off at every home game this year. Since Thursday's game starts at 7:40 p.m., that means the ramp will shut down at 5:10 p.m. Eastbound I-70 traffic can instead exit at Pine.

On top of that, The Blues will welcome the Vancouver Canucks to Scottrade Center Friday at 7 p.m.
