(KMOV) -- The Cardinals and Red Sox on Wednesday will meet up for the fourth time in the World Series, with the Redbirds winning two of those championships.
The two teams met up for the Series in 1967. The matchup featured great performances from Lou Brock, whom News 4’s Mike Colombo caught up with on Tuesday at Lambert Airport on the way to Boston.
During their conversation, Brock talked about his memories of playing in Boston, especially mentioning how the Cards beat the Red Sox in the 1967 World Series in seven games.
In that series, Brock hit .414 with 3 runs batted in. He had 12 hits, including a home run, two doubles, a triple, adding seven stolen bases.
Brock thinks this year’s series is an even matchup, but the players should know this experience is incomparable.
