ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A man is dead following a chain-reaction crash in south St. Louis.

The accident occurred on Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. at Shaw and Vandeventer.

St. Louis police say that Todd Baker, 46, was driving his Pontiac Vibe southbound on Shaw when he crossed the intersection at Vandeventer, drifted into the left turn lane of westbound Shaw and hit a Crown Victoria head-on. The Crown Victoria was stopped at the intersection at the time.

Baker's car then hit a street sweeper vehicle and a Ford Mustang.

Baker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

None of the other drivers were injured.

Police have not said what caused Baker to drift into the other lanes of traffic.
