(KMOV) – Authorities in Madison County, Illinois are looking for a man accused of home repair fraud.
The Madison County sheriff’s office took a report from a victim who claims that James Markle, 36, was hired to finish an upstairs bedroom at the victim’s home.
Markle was under contract and was paid $6,000 before the work on the bedroom began.
The victim tells authorities that Markle took the money and never started the work.
Markle has similar cases pending against him in Madison County.
He is currently not in custody and is considered “wanted.”
Markle faces charges of home repair fraud and theft over $500.
