ST. LOUIS (KMOV) - Construction work is expected to resume at an old fast food site in Soulard where human remains were found.
The remains were found at what used to be a Burger King at 7th and Pine near downtown St. Louis.
Construction crews uncovered the remains while digging on the site last week. The State of Missouri and archaeologists were contacted shortly after the discovery.
It was determined that the ground was a cemetery between the years of 1827 and 1852. It’s not certain whose remains were buried at the site.
The uniform company, Clean currently owns the site.
Crews are scheduled to start pouring cement to seal off the remains on Tuesday.
