(KMOV) -- A St. Louis man is recovering after being shot in the groin early Tuesday morning.
Officers say they received reports of a shooting around 1:30 a.m. They found the 32-year-old victim in a church parking lot near Garrison Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in north St. Louis.
Officials say that the victim was walking west on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive when a maroon van occupied by a group of black men stopped. The suspect exited the van and demanded property.
The suspect took a bag from the victim containing a wallet and a camera before firing shots at the victim, striking him in the groin.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
An investigation into this case is ongoing.
