(KMOV.com) -- Friends and family of a man who was killed when he interrupted a burglary at a neighbor's home are trying to raise money for the victim's son.
On May 9th, Paul Reiter interrupted a burglary at his neighbor's house on Idaho in south St. Louis. Police have arrested and charged Rico Paul, 18, with Reiter's murder, but police said they believe at least one other person was involved.
Reiter's body was found in the front yard with his cell phone near his body with 9-1-1 dialed on the display.
In the meantime, Reiter's friends and family are selling some of his possessions at the Atomic Cowboy bar on Manchester Road. All the money will help support Reiter's only son continue his education at St. Louis University.
Items such as books, records and art were sold until 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
There is another event planned on June 12th at the Mad Art Gallery at 2727 S. 12th Street in Soulard. The exhibit and sale of the Paul Reiter Collection of St. Louis Art will be held from 3-6 p.m.
