(KMOV)-- Three men were shot in Washington Park Friday, and police want to know if the situations are related.
Officials were first called to the 5100 block of Caseyville Avenue around 5:20 p.m. for a report of shots fired. Police were unable to locate a crime scene, but a 20-year-old man was dropped off at Kenneth Hall Hospital in East St. Louis about 25 minutes after the original call.
Police say the victim was dropped off by two people, who immediately left the hospital after bringing the man inside.
He died from his injuries.
A short time after the first victim’s arrival, two teenagers, ages 17 and 18, arrived at the hospital for gunshot wounds. One of the two men told police they were walking in the 4800 block of Caseyville.
The victims were transferred to St. Louis area hospitals for treatment.
Illinois State Police are investigating the crimes.
Authorities are trying to determine if there is any relation between the two. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) or Special Agent Joe Bates at 618-346-3760.
