Arrest warrants issued for suspect in St. Louis murder, robbery

(KMOV)-- Warrants have been issued against the suspect related to a murder, robbery in St. Louis that occurred in early May.

Isaac Warren Jr. is charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle.

The original incident occurred

Today the case was presented to prosecutors again and warrants were issued for 2 counts of “Stealing a Motor Vehicle” for Isaac Warren, a 44 year old Black male of the 1100 block of St. Anthony, 63033.  We do not have a booking photo in our system yet as

Warren is currently in the St. Louis County jail on an unrelated incident.
According to police, Dave Post, 71, was found dead with apparent trauma to the head in his automobile business around 8:20 p.m. on May 18th.

Police responded to the business located on the 1300 block of Hamilton to check on the victim after his family reported he had not come home.

Post was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The medical examiner’s initial investigation indicated the victim died during the late morning hours. 

The investigation revealed two vehicles were stolen from the business during the incident. A 1970 Monte Carlo and a 1969 Barracuda were recovered in St. Louis County.

The police investigation is continuing and as police continue to gather more information they will be presenting the case to prosecutors again in reference to the homicide of Post. 

Warrants in this case were previously taken under advisement as additional investigative work was requested by police.
