BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- A southwestern Illinois man faces up to 60 years in prison now that he's been convicted of fatally shooting a man outside a strip club in 2009.

A St. Clair County jury on Thursday convicted Dorian Boyd, 27, of Madison of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say Dion Hardin, 22, from the village of Brooklyn was fatally shot in September 2009 as he was leaving Club Peek-A-Boo in his hometown. He later died at a hospital.

Boyd's sentencing is scheduled for June 30.
