Men more likely to be diagnosed with hypertension than women

(KMOV) – Many young Americans are living with high blood pressure, according to a new study.

Nearly 14 thousand people in the U.S. between the ages of 24 to 32 have elevated blood pressure.

Half of those living with high blood pressure do not know they are at risk for hypertension, or have never been told  they have increased rates by their physician.

The study also found that men are more likely than women to have high blood pressure.
