ST. LOUIS (KMOV) –- A man was charged after an officer-involved shooting in north St. Louis on Tuesday.
Anthony Doll, 22, of the 5900 block of Goodfellow was charged with 2 counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Resisting Arrest.
Authorities said officers saw Doll who was allegedly armed with a gun around 9:35 p.m. in the 6200 block of North Pointe.
Doll allegedly pointed the gun at the officers at which point one of the officers, in fear for his safety, fired shots at Doll.
Doll was struck multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital and listed in serious condition. He was released from the hospital and is in custody on a $35,000 cash-only bond.
As is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings, the officer who struck the suspect will be placed on administrative leave.
The officer is 32 years old and has been a police officer for 5 years.
The investigation is ongoing.
